TJ Driver side Flip Forward seat

Do any TJs come with flip forward drivers seat? I cant remember if the TJ Unlimiteds I drove had drivers flip. I have 2 kids and this would be very helpful.

In my 05 Wrangler X, both the driver's and passenger's seat flip forward

Smeghead 02-19-2008 09:22 PM

99 TJ both mine do

RatherBNarizona 02-19-2008 09:57 PM

97 TJ

both do

Triple88a 02-20-2008 12:14 AM

00 sport, both do.

JCS05Rubi 02-20-2008 05:27 AM

do you mean fold forward, or TUMBLE forward? Mine folds forward, but you have to scoot the seat up the steering wheel, it doesnt tumble up to the dash like the pass. side. I dont think any TJs do.

my drivers tumbles forward.....i just pull the tab on the seat back.

alot of the time the cable will be broke on the drivers side that accuates the tumble feature.

look under the drivers seat on the track-slide closest to the center of the tub ...there should be a flat lever mounted to the inside of that track. push down on it. the seat should tumble forward.

not all tj's came with this feature.

2001 sport, both seats flip forward

foxinthemudd 02-20-2008 07:28 AM

98 both seats

erickpl 02-20-2008 07:38 AM

1997 SE here.

Driver slides, but no tumble forward. I'd like to change that. :)

UNLIMITLESS 02-20-2008 09:35 AM

My 97 has regular non-flip forward seat brackets on the driverside. I think I need to start looking for a set of brackets.
Seems like some do some dont. Maybe because mine in an SE?

debruins 02-20-2008 10:17 PM

hows it help anyways? its not like it lets the seat go thorugh the steering wheel!

Triple88a 02-20-2008 10:44 PM

2x, you should take my advice and remove that rear seat. Fixes all the seat folding problems. :punk:

distortedtj 02-20-2008 10:55 PM

it still goes forward pretty much the same distance as the pass. seat.

Ive got two kids. My daughter is 4 so she can get in and out herself but my son is not quite 2 yet. I have him on the passenger side so I can climb in the lock him in. It would just make life a bit easier.

Triple88a 02-21-2008 10:02 AM

so your kids can get in and out of the rig eh? A lift kit will help with that problem. :)

UNLIMITLESS 02-21-2008 10:09 AM

Yeah a little lift, bigger tires, and I think Im going to take the side steps off. The wife will be pissed but........thats half the reason I bought it!:D

UNLIMITLESS 02-22-2008 02:50 PM
