new comer

hey everyone i'm new here from the west burbs. getting my first wrangler (first car was an 88xj) in a month or so looking for a little advice, i'm thinking a sport unlimited but i'm tempted to try to find a rubicon, is the rubicon really worth the extra money? also i'm looking for good safe places to wheel, my jk i going to be my daily driver to so nothing to crazy lol. any ideas for first and most important mods?
any advice is appreciated!

Welcome all! What you want to do and how uch depends on how crazy you want to get and if your worried about scraths and scars on your Jeep

I would only suggest a rubicon if your going to do extreme offroading, otherwise building up from a sport might be the way to go. Try to find a jeep with a D44 rear tho, you'll be thankful.

The first scratch was difficult on me.
The first dint made me wince a bit.
But now she's not "new" anymore and prefers not to be "pampered".
In time the scars will be something to be proud of....assuming they arent merely door-dings from a parking lot.

Welcome aboard to you both.

Got my first ding today taking the doors off un strapped the driver door and swung it open to far and the mirror dinged the panel in front of my hood I know it doesn't count because it happened in my driveway lol but it didn't hurt as bad as I had expected. Ready to get some real dings and scratches now that's for sure though :)
