Finally done with the Front End and Grill...I think

1 Attachment(s)
Attachment 123557

-Plasti-dipped the Jeep logo the other day
-VDP stubby bumper mod
-Rampage headlight, foglight, and signal guards
-Rugged Ridge headlight trim
-Rugged Ridge grill inserts
-Warrior Products pre-runner grill guard
-Mesh grill guard lining (homemade)
-Body Armor 4x4 skid plate

I think that will do it for the front end of the Jeep.

and did you just mount this to the stock bumper? how did that go? what hardware did you use?

That hoop is begging for auxilary lights

Yes, that is the one. "Q" also has it and you can get free shipping from them.

Warrior Products 59012 - Warrior Products Universal Pre Runner Grill Guard in Gloss Black - Quadratec

It won't install directly to the bumper if you have tow hooks as those fall right where the guard wants to sit to make it centered. I mounted it on the black part that is behind the bumper that butts up against the grill. I'm sure it has a name, but I don't know what to call it. Also, I didn't use the hardware that Warrior sends with it as it is not black (and maybe not long enough either:confused:..I can't remember). Anyway, I bought some hardware at Lowe's in the specialty screw section that was black and longer. I drilled holes and mounted it like that. It's not going to be ever be used to do anything of substance, but it looks cool

haha...I looked long and hard to find something that DIDN'T have light tabs on it. I don't see my Jeep having any aux lighting in its future. Never know...they could easily be attached.

I bought the same bar and am installing a winch into the bumper. I figured I could just bolt the bar directly to the winch mounting plate.
But on mine the outer bolt holes are right at the insides of the frame rails and
can't see how a nut or bolt can fit with out ovaling out the holes and
moving them in closer away from the frame?
Did you do that?

You must have read my mind. My JK is also Dune (at least I think that is what your is, hard to tell with the light hitting it) and I was planning on doing everything you have done with the exception of the skid plate but I may have to add that. I have already done the DIY grill mesh. I am making the stubby bumper mod this weekend (Hopefully I will have time) and I will be ordering the grill inserts and light trim next week.

No... I bolted the bar to the flat plastic piece that sits behind the bumper. Otherwise, it was hitting right where the tow hooks are placed on the actual stock bumper.

My jeep is Sahara Tan...not too different from Dune. Love the skid plate instead of that stock pos that jeep puts on.

I just ordered the brush guard. Anyway you can snap a pic from the top view? Also did you drill through the frame Iif so I assume the bolt would need to be about 8 inches long. Thanks.

I am assuming it was into the frame and not just the plastic?
