How do you know what gears you have in the first place? My speedo is off with 31's

solo97tj 03-06-2008 01:56 PM

ok heres a good ? i have 3.07 and 35's

3.07 and 35s...????? such a small speedo gear isnīt available.

i had this setup for 2 weeks. it was very sluggish and slow and the fuel consumption was very bad.

you should regear as quick as possible.

DiPietro - I gave my dealer my vin number and thry ran off a copy of the original specs on my jeep for me. Good info to have and it was free.

32s on '06

Not to hijack the thread - but for anyone with an '06 and 3.73s wanting to get a new speedo gear for 32s...it is only available through your dealership. If you look in the usual catalogs you'll notice the 32 tooth gear is only available up to '05 models. Not sure yet what they'll rip me off for it - I may just leave it alone.

I'm still wondering if the computer can be flashed on an '06 to compensate the speedo without a new gear??
