nice! is there a GPS map you can share? will stock wrangler unlimite sahara handle all that sand and mud holes?

Jervboy 05-20-2012 05:37 AM

Stock no problem. Just be mindful of how and where other guys go through the water holes and go from there. Sand no problem.

i was out @ batsto last wknd kayakin. gonna go back this wknd and run the trails thru to 206. ive been in on the wharton side by the ranger station a cple times, but when i had my subutban. that was just way to big & way to heavy to play around with back there. cant wait to get my tj out there. my wife comes w/ in her ranger. ought to be a blast.

Jervboy 05-25-2012 07:03 AM

Nice pics, thanks. Nice job!

Nickdarocha 05-25-2012 02:34 PM

Where is this. Off of wat road? Just wondering me a couple of friends r thinking of going soon

Lineman827 05-25-2012 02:49 PM

theres alot of entrances. off 206 by atsion lake, off nesco rd by batsto is where i went in last weekend to kayak, and prob gonna go in that way this wknd. im not real familiar w/the area or where all the fire roads go.

srad600 05-25-2012 06:48 PM

The spot from the pics I showed in this post is right off Hampton Rd. We got on Hampton from 206 right at the ranger station and its not far up hampton on the right side.

Nickdarocha 05-26-2012 07:32 AM

How is it? Is it easy to get lost?

Lineman827 05-26-2012 07:49 AM

the woods are big, but this is still nj.not gonna get lost all day , lol you can get turned around and go in circles for a while. you can also stop at the atsion ranger station and grab a paper map of the major trails/fire roads. also, ive checked google maps on my phone while out there & it may show you in the middle of the woods not on a road, but youll still see where u are in reference to landmarks like 206, lakes, old r/r tracks etc. im not a pro @ knowin wharton, im lookin forward to runnin into some pple out there and findin out where some of the hang out spots are once youre in the woods.

Lineman827 05-26-2012 08:26 AM

also just downloaded an android app called pocket ranger. has a ton of info bout state parks, any state, but i just noticed a gps mapping feature as well. not sure how helpful itll be yet.

srad600 05-26-2012 03:34 PM

My wife just DLed that the other day for her iPhone so I got it on my android. I dont know yet either if Ill use it. I just use google maps if I need it like you said. I also use "My tracks" by Google for android every time I go out there. I start it when I head out so I can always find my way back if I find a cool new spot.

Lineman827 05-26-2012 04:07 PM

just got booted by a ranger fir tires stuckin out 2 far. "leave or take a $200 tix"

Lineman827 05-26-2012 04:21 PM

he was "polite" & cut me a break, but damn man... he also warned me that if my back fenders thst arent on yet are like my fronts, he still wouldve stopped me. its just irratating!!

srad600 05-26-2012 06:02 PM

Wow thats nuts because we were just talking about it. lol.

Im fucked then too if I ever get talked to. I got flats like yours on the front and stockers on the back.

Pocket styles are too much money, Im never getting em. This is gonna be a fun summer.

Lineman827 05-26-2012 06:13 PM

yep, what pissed me off was that he was polite, but still an arrogant tool bag. i shouldve known with the holiday wknd. and all. when i didnt move fast enough to turn around, he looked at me and said " looks like youre gettin an attitude, i can still write the tix. i said look, i appricicated u not writing me, i just need to tell me wife in tue truck behind me whats goin on. and ya know, normally i could care less about dble standards when it comes to cops of any type, but seein him follow me out in his totally tinted out(including the windshield) state owned suburban, really pissed me off.

Thegame 06-06-2012 07:06 PM
