So now that the headgasket is fixed...

Well I got her back on the road and shes doing great, well almost great. I had a bad head gasket which i changed, but of course my radiator is full of sludgey oiley coolant, and its leaking from a few places that scream 'replace me'. :banghead:
So I'm in market for a new radiator, Anyone bought one recently and got a good deal?

I bought mine a couple years ago from radiator barn and it has been a good radiator. People have had so so quality from them, but I am happy with them.

okay cool, i was just hoping to see if someone has found great success with any aftermarket radiators superior to OE. Thanks for your help guys

There are aftermarket rads better than oe but they run $400-500 and up. How much better they are I couldn't tell you as my stock system has held up perfectly so far. But if you want to get rid of the plastic tanks you can get good ones but they will cost ya!

I'd go with another OE radiator. Their quality is excellent, not to mention they have an all aluminum core.

I've come across a few deals actually. 1, 2 and 3 cores. Rockauto has a 1 core rad for 96$, or a 3 core rad for 115$, seems a little too good to be true, but I wish there was some sort of benchmark for performance based on amount of cores. All claim to be OE fit, OE size but claim more cores = more cooling power. Can anyone lend any expertise?

You mean 1, 2, or 3 row radiators... they are all single core radiators.

No, more rows does not necessarily equate to better cooling, it depends on the application. Where a Jeep is concerned a 1 row radiator which uses bigger diameter tubing cools better than 2 or 3 row radiators. Jeep even made the switch from a 2 row aluminum core to a 1 row aluminum core in the early 2000's to increase the cooling efficiency a tad. :)
