Need help

goodyear duratrac's or bfg all terrain KO? Mostly city, offroad in sand and mud in winter. which tires would be best?

Personally, I would look at all of the options in the size your considering. I have Falken Rocky Mountains and do a lit of driving, sometimes 300 miles per day usually over 200. They are quiet and ride nice. I have yet to test them offroad but have heard they perform well. Even better, about half the price of duratracs.

yeah, i like the look they have and they have a warranty (the falken's). heard of the bfg's getting 80k+ miles on them but they're more expensive.

I don't have any experience with either on the Jeep, but I had the BFG ATs on my old Blazer. They were good tires and wore evenly, but I personally can't stand the look of them. The Duratracs are one of, if not the best looking AT tires out there. And they are generally regarded as one of the best performing ones as well.

That being said, like the previous poster, I also run the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS tires. Really like the look of them and they ride great. And they were $350 cheaper than the Duratracs in the same size.

But between the two you mentioned, Duratracs hands down for me.

Still new to this owning a car thing. bought the jeep last year and right now on a limited budget. Just heard about the Falken tires and they look really good. and they are a lot cheaper than both of the other ones i liked.
