$69.00 v chip

Has anyone added the $69.00 chip to their engien? Supposed to get better mileage and more HP.

If you want to spend your money on chips, buy Doritos or something. You'll actually get some use out of em.

X2, chips are a waste a lot of talk with no show

X3 on the above comments. Although I'd go for Wise or Lays.......

If you buy one, carefully install it just under the front side of your right front tire. When you accelerate slowly, and hear the "pop", your installation is complete.

For $69. take your wife/girlfriend out for a nice dinner and a couple of beers. You'll get more from that than you will from a chip...

If it were possible for the factory to improve fuel economy like that chip claims it does with a simple program change, they would have already done so. Automotive manufacturers are under ENORMOUS political pressure to eke out every .1 mpg additional they can and no $69 chip is going to do something the factory couldn't have done.

There are way too many snake oil products floating around that claim to improve fuel economy and power that don't really, just keep your hard-earned $$$ in your wallet.

Ditto.

You can improve mpg on nearly any vehicle with tuning, but you will cause extra pollution and will not pass smog due to nox. so a chip could get you better mpg, but at the cost of more pollution and that's why OEMs don't / cant do it. For $69 I wouldn't dream of putting that on my jeep! It's probably some BS that tweaks the MAP or ECT sensor output to the ecu.
