pa gun laws/shooting

so were going to be moving out to pa from colorado in about 2 months now and from what ive found the gun laws are pretty much the same as co. what i havent found is info about shooting in public lands. here in colorado as long as your not shooting into live vegetation, across roads or well used trails, and shooting into a berm that will stop the rounds you can shoot. dose pa have something similar?

Depends on where in pa. Some cops are more anal than others. I live right near a range and am a member so I just go there

Not really. In PA you can only shoot on public land while legally hunting or if you are on a game comission shooting range. To do the latter you either need a hunting license or a shooting range license. Saying this, depending on where in PA you are going, we are blessed with a lot of great shooting and sportsmen clubs.

Like they've said it all depends on where ya are. We shoot a lot around my part of the state, but where I go to college even firecrackers are looked down upon.

We're looking in the extinct area trying to stay away from Philly. Going to be going to uti so I'd like to stay within a 20-30 min drive since I'll be driving it 5 days a week

PAFOA forum is a good source for gun info for Pa.
