Sinz 05-28-2012 02:32 PM

Still waiting on the JRC Bumpers, Tire Carrier, AEV Heat Reduction Hood, Drake Interior Accessories, Recovery Kit, Hi-Lift & some miscellaneous other parts lol!

AdrianVall 05-28-2012 02:33 PM

Do you plan on installing any of it?! :)

ESP 05-28-2012 02:34 PM

Remember you're not supposed to bring things to WF if you don't share. :whistling:

Sinz 05-28-2012 02:35 PM

Yes I will install it when I get the sliders & Bumpers powder coated!

I have some stuff for JK's, like signal guards, tail light guards (Stainless) that I took off my JK...if you are looking for some! :thumb:

hayhonker 05-28-2012 05:46 PM

That's a nice pile of stuff! I've got winch envy:thumb:

Here's a piece of advice nobody asked for:whistling:
Give the hood latch mounting bolts a couple drops of 3-in-1 oil or a squirt of WD-40 so something before threading on the nylock nuts.
I installed mine last month and the nuts seized half way down the bolt. I broke the bolts in half trying to back the nuts off.
Quadratec came through with excellent service and sent me a whole new package. I then oiled the threads and everything went well.
It might have been a fluke, but I'd hate for you to go through the same thing.
Cheers!

Ok thanks for the tip...I will be sure to do that! :thumb:

JIMBOX 05-28-2012 06:25 PM

:whistling: If you broke new bolts, because the nuts seized ---then they were either corroded, or you got the wrong nuts--

You should never put oil on bolts--then the torque values are "KAPUTT" or the Nylocks, don't Nylock-

In some cases you might wanna use some "BLUE" LOCTITE--nothing else !!

I sure hope you don't have any trouble with your wheel studs and lug nuts !!

Good liuck

:dance::rofl: JIMBO

hayhonker 05-28-2012 06:45 PM

If it sticks, lube it!:punk:
LOL:facepalm:
But yeah...listen to Jimbo. Don't lube your wheel studs.

Loctite blue green or red, regular grease, lithium grease, anti-seize, oil, dry-lube, paraffin wax, teflon tape, Grade 8 vs stainless, with lock washers, with concave washers, with a tension spring, with nylock insert, titanium bolt in a stainless helicoil in an aluminum heat sink, etc etc etc. What a topic this could become!

Just curious, I see you have a Warn winch and an air compressor, did you consider the Warn winch/compressor combo?

Yes I did see that warn winch with the compresser, I dedcided to stick to a dedicated winch and have a portable compressor instead plus the winch with the dual function is quite big and it would've stuck up atleas half way up my grill...too bulky IMO!

Excellent deal...I have not seen them in person but seemed like a interesting idea. How are you liking them so far?
