Bought Used Soft Top Need a Few Brackets.

2 Attachment(s)
Hey all I pulled the trigger and bought a 2008 soft top for $200 off CL everything appears is there minus the following brackets.
Rool Bar Bracket x 2
Attachment 128438
Tail Gate Bar Brackets x 2
Attachment 128439

Where is the best pace to buy these and how much are they likely to cost me?

Thanks.

I had the same issue a few months back. I originally ordered from moparonlineparts.com as they were the cheapest BUT they kept me waiting for 6 weeks without delivering the product. Quadratec were able to do a (close enough) price match and delievered within two days. Here are the parts I needed - as well as the brackets you may also need the shoulder bolts.

Thanks, I will be ordering these Monday. I will be sure to check the shoulder screws. Are these worth the investment?

Those are neat but not really necessary IMO.

As you know already. Those side mounts are usually left on under the hardtop. 2 screws and the bows remove. Pretty easy :)

Yep that is where the seller reccons where he left his LOL.
Now what is the best way to get this thing cleaned and restore it to a darker color. It only stayed on his Jeep for about 8mos and it has been in his storage shed for the past 3+years.

Simple green and a soft brush to clean Then use a product like 303 to restore it.

You will need bolts to install the bow bracket to the roll bar (aka shoulder screw). Lowes carriers a M6x10x25 bolt that will work perfectly and is under $3 for 4 bolts. I just used these to install my bow brackets.

mrjonescu is right that you will need the bolts to attach the brackets to the rollbar and that Lowes have these at a reasonable price, but these are technically not the shoulder screws. The shoulder screws attach the bows to the bracket.

However, don't do what I did and order the (expensive) shoulder screws without checking first that the previous owner already safely stored them screwed them into the bows.

Oh and one more point, the footman loop position changed between 2008 and 2010, so you may need to do a bit of filing down of the header bar on your 2008 top to get it to fit properly when closing. Not exactly sure where it is on the 2012s, but I needed to do this when fitting a 2008 top on a 2010.
