2005 x

Alrighty...well I am going to today to buy a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X.
-70k miles
-Black
-Stick
-Soft top/soft doors
-2 accidents (minor though...)
The guy was asking 12,950 but I told him 12,000 and I'd pick it up today. Well he took that. So I'm gonna head to Little Rock and pick it up today around 5 p.m. The Jeep is really clean, very nice inside and out. I'm just paranoid about buying a vehicle that's newer...cause I'm planning on using it how a Jeep is meant to be used, and I'm afraid tearing up a newer one isn't such a hot idea since I'm 16 and gonna be broke after this buy. I was planning on getting a 97'-02' but had no luck. Tell me if it's all just in my head or I'm being a big baby... http://www.jeepforum.com/ubb/rotfl2.gif I'm ready to get a Jeep and start having fun! Give me your advice and what you would do. Don't hold back on me now. Thanks!

I've got a 05 x and I bought it at 70xxx too! I love mine man. A buddy of mine climbed out the back and then turned around and said he was sorry and my response was, it's a jeep! Then one day at work I left my windows down in the rain and everyone was like aww it got rained in, and my response was the same. It's a jeep! Mines stock so I haven't done any real trails or anything but I've definitely had my fun offroad. I really feel like I bought it to have fun in and if you worry too much about keeping it pristine you'll never have any. Now at the same time going off road is playin with the big boys you might break something and it might be expensive ( it's a jeep! Haha) just go slow! Happy jeeping!

Idk, if it were me I'd wait out and find something with a better deal. I just picked up my '04 Rubicon, 93,000 miles two weeks ago for $10k even and that was from a dealer. Granted they wanted over $16k for it but I got them waaay down, and its a Rubicon. Either way any Jeep is a blast.

Jeez! Get me a deal like that! I wish I could find a rubi for that cheap but I want a stock Jeep so I half way know its not been put through hell, and all the rubi's here arn't stock or if they are theyre way over priced.

Yeah Rubicons hold value really well. Mine is all stock, for now, an older gentleman owned it just as his winter vehicle and sold it to the dealer when he moved to Arizona. It took me from 10:04 am to 4:54 pm and a General Manager to come in from another dealership to authorize the deal, but it was worth the day of haggling.

Wow nice. I probably should wait around and try to find a Rubicon, or MABYE a better deal... but I feel like this Jeep is a good deal and has alot of potential once I make some money!

We're gettin ripped off here in SoMo then. Jeeps go for a lot more than those prices stated around this area. I just looked at a posting and an 05 Se goes for 12500. And and 04 sport is 15900. And those were about the same prices for when I was looking for mine. 04 rubicons your looking at 17-18 thou and maybe able to talk em down 500$ or so.

Thats high. Here in central AR 04 sports go for about 10-12k depending on miles.
