What would you have done?

I came across this video yesterday (I don't know any of the people and not sure if they are WF members) and noticed the comments say "we ended up with a twisted tie rod, bent steering damper, broken front drive shaft and a tire that blew a beed"

Just curious....how would you have handled the situation differently to avoid the damage?

i would have removed the DS and the steering damper and beat the tie rod as straight as i could , then i would have driven home slowly and ordered new parts. its that simple

Easy..... I wouldn't have driven on that frozen pond in the first place.

OMG! I couldn't even finish watching this video. I can't imagine putting my Fifty thru that. NO WAY! I'm the girl who taped off her flares when she waxed her Jeep and was out at 10:30pm a night cleaning the bird poop off her Jeep. That video made me bite off all my nails watching it.

Your Wrangler.... Is not.

If you're going to be driving through crap like that, you need to bring one of these:
