New Rubi mods - Lift+Wheel question
Just signed up and wanted to get some feedback from you guys on the work I plan on doing.
I just picked up a 2012 Unlimited Rubi and want to get it lifted asap. It will mostly be used as a daily driver, but I'll be doing some trails too (80/20).
I just picked up an AEV 3.5" lift, on order, and now need wheels and tires. I'm stuck between 2 wheel types:
option#1: AEV SAVEGRE WHEELS
Rim Size: 17x8.5
Back Spacing: 3.6"
option#2: MICKEY THOMPSON CLASSIC II BLACK
Rim Size: 17x9
Back Spacing: 5"
Question (sorry if they come off noobie):
1. Does the backspacing matter?
2. I want to run either of the wheels on Duratrac tires. They should fit both, right?
3. What other mods do I need to get this setup running?
4. Which of the 2 rims do you recommend?
Trying to find these tires in toronto, sucks!. the M/T are on backorder and the AEVs are priced a lot higher. Any recommended places for online?
Thanks for your help!
Discount Tire Online is your friend.
Don't forget your new front driveshaft too. What happens to your oem driveshaft when you put a 3+ life on your jeep
I was thinking ProComp.
Do I need to do the rear too?
