Vincennes University Jeepers!

This will be my 3rd semester at VU and I know of 1 person who went there who had a jeep but I know there is more!

I just graduated high school and I'm already going to VU with plans to be a Conservation Officer. I won't be living on campus though since I live in Sullivan (about 30 min north of Vincennes). I am also in the process of saving up for my first wrangler. I have $1300 as of right now but I will be starting detasseling tomorrow on super crew so I've been told I'll prob be making around $11.25 an hour so a jeep will come soon enough!

I'd love to meet some people from VU or live in Vincennes with jeeps! :)

[QUOTE="WranglerGIRLL"]Cars for Sale: 2003 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 Rubicon in Cincinnati, OH 45255: Sport Utility Details - 324848660 - AutoTrader.com

saw this.. wasnt sure what to think of it lol I know it has the sticker but is it really a Rubi??

LawMoose 06-28-2012 07:11 PM

Always look at the axle or look inside to see if it has the "axle lock" switch that will define if its a rubby or not

It looks like it to me but wonder why its so cheap?

Oh ok, and it prob has major issues for it being so cheap..

So this guy randomly comes by my house asking if my grand am if sfor sale, we tell him yes. So he and my mom start talking about it and I guess he is 19 and is always trading cars. He asked if we would be willing to trade for a Jimmy, she told him we would have to ask my dad (he was gonna fix up my grand am to sell so we thought we'd ask if he'd rather have cash or a Jimmy he can fix up).

My mom also mentioned how I am trying to save up for a jeep wrangler, and he said that his friend has a jeep renegade that he wanted to trade for his Jimmy. I asked him about it. He doesn't know the yr or miles but I guess it needs a drive shaft and somethin else that I've forgotten now. Doesn't look that old. But its an inline 6 with a 4 speed. He said if I want it, he can trade his Jimmy, then is trade. My mom have him her number and said that they can discuss it more tomorrow.

I really dont think I want it. It was prob owned by some teen that drove the crap out of it, plus I don't really want a project jeep..

Well there where a few Renegades, Wranglers , Cherokees, even Liberties. Sounds like a CJ version. Honestly if it were me, I won't do it. Your looking for something that you can drive no something you have to rebuild. What scares me is about it is it won't move under its on power, which is a no no (me and my dad used to restore cars for fun) Plus you don't know the body condition, could have lots of bondo. I say fix you the car yourself and use it as trade on a TJ you like.

Ya when I looked at the pic, my thought was "this looks old, prob been drove to hell and back, and I don't want a project jeep.."

LawMoose 07-02-2012 09:23 PM

When I meet her and she seems to have the kind of temperment I'm looking for, I will tell them I want to adopt her :)) and what kind of dog is Elvis?

LawMoose 07-09-2012 06:52 PM

Good to play with if they got some spunk. Elvis is a Golden Retriever
