It's 2.5 old man emu suspension lift but the factory skid plate still hangs a little low

1 to run the black trails you will need biger tires.
2 don't leave the Hilift jack where you have it on the trail.
mount it some where esle. Inside or on the hood.

can it handle blues? and why can't the jack stay there?

jgtj25 06-27-2012 10:47 PM

it doesn't hang low or anything ties same height as bumper and i don't have money for bigger tires just yet before i go tho I'm getting 3/4 inch coil spacers for front and either 1.5 or 2 inch body lift probably won't gett new tires till my ones now have no tread

techflork 06-27-2012 10:49 PM

I'd move the jack just cause it'd probably hit rocks and you'd be draggin your ass lol. just a suggestion. don't wanna bust an $80+ jack either ;)

jgtj25 06-28-2012 06:06 AM

Haha sounds good I'll throw it in the back

jgtj25 06-28-2012 04:30 PM

if i get a 1.5 inch body lift before i go do i have to change anything HAVE TO...?

Why not stick to green until you're comfortable with the drive, and then step up? Powerline road had me shutting stones because I had 33's on with stick ride height, and the tires would hit the genders at every bump. This with 900 miles on it.

Move your jack and your all set. No rig is ever "done" or perfectly set up. Go, enjoy the trails you are comfortable with and make changes as you feel you need them. You might just be surprised how well the machine does, the limiting factor is usually the driver.

Air down. I didn't and regretted it.

MikD 07-13-2012 11:24 PM

Agreed! Airing down and disconecting the front swaybar are two of the biggest changes you can really feel in your rig. People are often shocked at the difference the first time they try it.

Jg, where are you located? If you are anywhere near orange cty ny you are welcome to test your setup at our place before heading out to rc.
