Bent pitman?

I think I may have a bent pitman arm but I have nothing to compare it to. what do you think? are the arms perfectly straight? or have a slight bend to the passenger side? Thanks

It does look bent. Even if it's not bent the geometry's not right. Ive never seen one bent like that, not sure if there's an easy fix or just needs replacing?

it does appear to have a slight curve to it, however in the top pic the tie rod end appear to be off center which could be the reason.. but in your worried I would just remove it and install a new one..

Yes sitting on the floor the tie rod end is tilted along with what looks like a curve in the whole arm. I understand the power steering jeeps have a different arm than the non power arms. Does anyone have 76-86 with power steering they can take a picture of so I can compare?

Mystery solved it was bent, apparently it took a shot to the front end at one time. found a used arm locally and it's much better! Now as soon as my shims come for the rear end (axle end play) I'll be able to drive it and fine tune center going down the road. Thanks everyone

Update, got the rear wheel bearings done last night. It drives much better with the steering box centered the way it should be (new piman arm). I'm still looking for a right steering knuckle to compare mine to as I feel it's be also! I may heat it up and straighten it out then weld a brace on it, but first I need to be sure of its material (steel vrs cast iron) Making headway every day. bedlinig the interior hopefully is next!
