Hello to all my fellow Jeepers! My service is quite simple, I offer a cheaper yet well built alternative to big name doorless mirrors. The sets I build from scratch, fit into the door hinges after taking the doors off. One bolt for each mirror and you're good to go. The sets I usually build are for JK model Jeeps, however, special orders can be made for older models. If you are on the fence about trying the little guy just check my feedback at http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...v-7xdHrtigMrxQ. I look forward to your orders. I take PayPal. Just me know what you need. As an exclusive offer for members, I will wave shipping costs and sell my mirrors at the flat rate of $50.00.

Meaning the bracket and end cap? I'm sure I could.

2xs 07-05-2012 11:21 PM

$50 shipped? All blacked out like Randy-S was asking about.

How about set up for a YJ?

The wife would pe all pissy, im supposed to save some of this for a JBconversions SSYE, which is on backorder, but she wont be too upset, ill tell her its for safety and and will prevent me from getting a fix it ticket and have to buy a set anyways (Just wont tell her I could just put the full doors back on and have it signed off),.........

I can do that, from what I'm understanding, the YJ has a 3/8" internal door hinge diameter. If you could send me your specific year and I'll verify. I'd hate to send you a set that didn't fit ;-P

Too easy. I can have a set ready for you by Monday if your fine with the style in the pictures. I'm still experimenting with the Blacked out style.

Appreciate it! Just let me know when!

For everyone waiting on blacked out mirrors, I'm having some trouble getting the brackets right. I refuse to send out a half way done product! I'm going to talk to a guy down the road about powder coating them, (I think that would look pretty tough) Will update soon!

Ok, found a method that looks right AND I believe will hold up under some trail rub. Still going to look into the powder coat as a possibility. But this is what I have so far. Also I did some thinking, and what about a smoke tint on the mirrors themselves? I think it might look cool, what do y'all think?

Defiant Systems 07-07-2012 06:16 PM

For future sales, the normal mirrors will remain the same price, (50). For the black out, it will be $60.00. And if you want the mirror smoked with blacked out brackets, it will be $70.00. (those of you that I've talked to over private messages, I'll honor the quoted price.)

LouieDelTorchio 07-07-2012 06:25 PM

Those prices are very fair, what did you do to make them black? After i get back from camping ill order these.

For the end caps, I used black plasti dip, for the brackets I used a dremel sanding wheel and ground them down to a very rough finish, after, I de-greased them, primed them, then laid down some black paint. The intention was to end up with a product that didn't scratch too easy. Lord knows I've brushed up against a few epic bushes myself. Didn't want the blacked out look to come off without a fight ;-)

Defiant Systems 07-08-2012 01:58 PM

And sadly today, I was reminded why I never personally offered window tinting as a service to anyone. I am terrible at it. I was working on a prototype smoked mirror. Needless to say, in the future, I will be taking them to a shop for that particular task. ;-)

mhanksii 07-08-2012 07:13 PM

How much are you charging for shipping? I need a pair of the black mirrors non-smoked!

Shipping free for forum members! I should be able to build you a set Tuesday or Wednesday and have them mailed out by the end of the week.

Is it that hard to tint things?

It very much depends on what your tinting. A flat piece of glass with no borders or edges could be done by anyone! The mirrors are shaped a bit more difficult though. Sport car doors are usually easy because there is no frame on the top of the door. Rear hatch backs on cars can induce seizures on the less skilled to tinters!
