Okay, well i recently noticed my springs are just about flat and the ends are starting to bow the wrong way. If i go with a factory springwhat kind of lift would i see? What about the 2" lift spring that i've seen? How are they in the long run? I have never seen my jeep any higher then it is as i just got it 4 weeks ago
and i bet if it was higher, my bumper wouldnt have hit the front end of a parker car:banghead:

haha, welcome to the club, those springs will sag. o.e. springs will give you some lift from where you're at 1-2". but this is the perfect time to go bigger than stock. 2" lift, and 31" or 32" tires will look good.

it has 31" Mickey Thompson's on it, where should i look at for lift springs, and how much will it change my mileage? I know this isnt the best vehicle to worry about what my mileage is but i am because it is my daily driver. Links to good springs would be awesome, i have already read to stay away from rough country as there stuff sags quick?

Rough Country have changed spring suppliers is what I have read. But even they stated some of their old kits might still be out there on the shelves. BTW if you springs are as messed up as you state you might want to do something asap. Are your driveshafts having extra stress put on them right now? If they are, this could even lead to trouble inside your axles.

i havent noticed any issues, i just noticed when i was underneath it, that the springs were super flat and starting to get a negative bend, i guess my next thing is the springs and probally asap from how your talking lol, any links to cheap springs?

if you have 31's already, just putting taller springs on won't change gas mileage. old man emu seem to be best leaf springs, but are expensive. you gotta understand that leaf springs wear down. a spring that doesn't wear down as fast, is gonna ride stiffer. a nice riding spring, is gonna wear down a little quicker. i know tough country was terrible, i had rough country and sky jacker back in the day, maybe 6 years ago, didn't have probs with either. never heard anything bad about rancho. i'd say stay away from add a leafs, and shackles won't help you right now, not that you even suggested it, just throwin that out there.

i'm not lookin to do shackles until i get this spring thing situated first. I guess time to just search around for good prices.... What about factory replacments? if anything i can do factory ones with shackles

since you need springs, you're better off getting lifted springs if you want to go bigger. shackles aren't really a bad thing, to about 1-1 1/2" but it does change the geometry of the suspension. and they do put more pressure on the front side of the spring. the springs are always moving, and the shackles going back and forth, always best to keep suspension angles as clost to original as possible.

so basically if i can, try to stay away from a lift through shackles an just spend the money on the lift springs? What would be a reasonable size lift without worrying about pinion angles and droppin the t case and what not ?

that's my opinion, cuz you already need springs. really max is 2", and you might get vibe from rear driveshaft at higher speeds then. i got small vibe w/ 2" on my xj daily driver. but t case drop is cheap and easy.
