AEV Procal and 2012 Jeep

I found yet ANOTHER use for the AEV/Procal module: We installed a Rubi sway bar on my 2012 JK. According to the directions, you have to take it to a Jeep dealer to have a special code entered so that the ASBS/sway bar light works on the dash. I was quoted $100 at each dealer I called.
We pinned the Procal to the ASBs module, plugged it in and honk! honk!- the swar bar light comes on! Sway bar on, ESC off. No problems.

In addition we:
  • Reset the TPMS. My low pressure light went off.
  • Programmed day time running fog lights- just to see if it works. You can also do signals, markers, high or low beams and off.
  • Programmed in 34" tires. Its not a re-gear- but it helped.
  • Speedo, according to my highly advanced Droid app (not!) is correct.
I know there have been other posts on the ProCal but I couldn't find anything relating to the ASBS module. Not exactly common but the directions in the Procal are a little confusing/vague and I wasn't sure it would work. For the money you can't beat this gadget.
Now off to play with my sway bar.

Sounds dirty. But on a serious note did the running lights work? I heard on another thread the pro cal software wasn't update yet for that feature on 2012s

using fogs as daytime running lights right now on my 2012 sport ala Procal, replaced stock fogs with amber duallys works great

Mine too. No problems with the 2012.

Cool, I have used mine for tire size change and DRLs.
What is involved with adding a Rubicon sway bar? What else is needed besides the bar itself? Thanks.

What Drioid app are you using?

The sway bar , the wiring harness and factory switch assembly are all you need- plus getting the light lit as mentioned above. The sway bar is easy to install; the wiring depends. Our came off a wrecked Rubi- it did come with factory wiring harnesses BUT they don't work on a 2012 JK. My husband had to piggy back everything. Do-able but not easy.
