Pedals/Dash, tight squeeze
Hey all, anyone else find it difficult to get your left foot between pedals on the 2012 JK 6spd? I keep catching my shoe/workboot on the plastic below the steering wheel and on the OBDII port. I thought of trimming the plastic and relocating the port but there is a pretty stout steel frame to contend with. Any ideas?

yeah i get that too. The overall design of the pedal box sucks. No dead pedal for the 6 spd and the trim is is too close. I actually change my shoes to drive to work because my work shoes get caught. Feel pretty feminine changing shoes in the parking lot. Lol

How big is your foot?

This is my one complaint so far about the Jeep. I cant imagine driving this with work boots, i can barely drive it with tennis shoes.

I'm sportin a size 12 foot, 6'2", 220#. This is my 5th Jeep (2 CJ's, 2 TJ's, and now the JK) to own and I've never seen such a cramped pedal area.

I have the same issue. With a size 15 shoe, I constantly am catching my one or another edge of my foot going between clutch and the other pedals. there just is not much room in there. Compounding the problem is a set of pedals that are not very high quality, are kind of slippery-when-wet, and frankly, do not belong in a $25K Jeep. In fact, I am considering switching-out the threesome for a new set of high-end pedals. Any suggestions would be welcome. I am looking at both Putco and Performance Pedals, although the latter do not have a set available for the 2013 Wrangler JK yet. In the meantime, I will have to just be careful when accelerating, shifting, and braking. In other words, everything.

Happens to me sometimes if I am wearing combat boots.
