SYE drive shaft questions

ok, I know a thread about this comes up about once a week, but I was consedering getting a SYE and new drive shaft in order get rid of my tc drop. My concern is that in the future if I replace my Dana 35 with a 44, will I have to buy a new drives shaft then? I would hope not since the length would be the same, right??? Thanks guys, ~ Cooper

No - you should be ok.

I think the difference is about .25" between the two shafts so no big deal.

As long as the yoke is the same on both you should be ok. The 35 comes with a 1310 yoke...just make sure the 44 has the same (or get one to match).

Extending a drive shaft or shortening one isn't all that expensive. Cost is ~100 bones locally. The tube isn't the expensive part. Unless you get .25 walled stuff. :D
