Fog light question

I have a 1995 Sahara that has the factory wiring for fog lights. They are long gone though. Is it possible to mount new fog/driving lights and wire them into the factory wiring. I'm a complete novice at automotive wiring but I'd imagine its just 2 wires per light and just a matter of matching the positive and negative. How right or wrong am I?

In a nutshell yes you can. Do the fog lights have a switch somewhere? I would trace the wiring just to make sure your looking good and not gona fry anything

There is a factory switch. Guess its time to open the multimeter I got for Christmas 2 years ago. Now if I only knew how it worked...

If your sure its all still wired, you could trace the wires to the relay. The negative wires coming from the lights I believe would be grounded to the frame or fender and the positive wires run to the relay.

Got them on today, thanks for the help. Decided on some lights I found at Northern Tool for $12.99 each. No frills, 100w with a rock guard.

Just as a heads up, 100 watt lights won't be working too swell for fog lights. The whole idea of fog lights is to create a light spread very close to the vehicle to make the road more visible directly in front. Brighter and whiter lights make the fog more blinding.

Looks good though, you'll probably like the lights a lot better offroad.

i just made little connectors and pushed them into the factory plug where my factory lights sat once also. work great
