Ok so I change all the universals on my ball and cage cv style driveshaft but didn't Grease anything before puting the stuff back together I just cleaned all the grease off the ball and the cap and aroung the other stuff. I didn't regrease anything because I thought I was suppose to use the grease nipple on the driveshaft itself. I greased the nipple and When I put it backtogether it would lock up when I would rotate it, so I put a bunch of grease around the ball and it seemed to have don the job. Do you guys thing I'm going to be ok I'm kinda worried so I havn't even put my driveshaft on yet.

you should be fine, on a cv style joint the grease is just shoved in there. what grease did you use, it isn't just chassis grease that is used i don't think

I just used regular general grease. Is there a certain kind that I need?

its probably called cv grease, its not the same as bearing or chassis grease. i don't know if you'll have a problem or not.

Do you think it would be wise to get the cv grease and put in with the grease thats already on it?

i'd personally get the right grease, and clean all the other stuff out. what's in there is better than nothing, but cv grease is designed for that, and will probably last longer.

Using general purpose chasis grease is fine in your drive shafts. I like to use something a little thicker like Marine grade grease because of the high RPMs that the driveshaft see and it seems to not all get thrown out of the shaft at high speeds. :D
Your CV shaft should have 4 fittings standard. One needle fitting for the centering ball, one on the main shaft to lube up the inside and then one on each ujoint at the ends.
