Lift help

Hey guys, I'm new to the jeep world and loving every second of it. I got my jeep about 6 months ago, it has 33x10.5's and a 3" body lift. I've been doing some "research" and I've come across a lot of posts saying anything over 1.5" - 2" body lift is not good at all.

I'm thinking about dropping to a 1" body lift and getting a 2" - 3" suspension lift and possibly going to 31 or 32's for my tires. Any advice and/or pictures for a newcomer would be great! :)

Why ditch the 33's? I would stick with them.

3" Suspension + 1.25" body + MML is a pretty common set up for running 33's but like everyone will tell you, the higher you go, the bigger of a TC drop you'll have to do and eventually an SYE and drive shaft swap. You'll also hear that every Jeep is different (which is true) so you might be able to pull off a 3.5" and be in the clear and others will have problems with 2". You'll never know until you install it.

Just because I'm trying to play it safe as possible, I'm doing a 2.5" lift, I'll level it out in the front and put on Metal Cloak Fenders allowing me maximum articulation. That will be my set up for 31's or 33's. 33 and higher, I'll probably do a 1.25" body lift + MML and call it a day. Really with that set up and the Metal Cloak fenders, I could technically run a 35 or 37 but then I'll have to do some gear changing (More $$$).

I'm not expert. Just sharing what I've read and been told so far so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong so I won't spread misinformation on something.
