Thottle Positioning Sensor
Just picked up the 2002 Wrangler Sport I just bought. Engine light is on, had it checked and it showed PO122, Throttle Positioning Sensor. My question is, where is this located and how hard is it to change.
Also showed PO455, I was told this was for a defective gas cap. Think I can handle that.
Cruise control also didnt work. Not a big deal, but any advice in fixing that?

Already love driving this jeep, everytime I pass a jeep the driver waves. Nice to be part of the jeep club.

The TPS sensor is located on the back side of the throttle body, it's secured via two torx, #5's I believe. It can be tough to get them out if the PO has stripped it, but if that's the case, just remove the Throttle body, and heat any troublesome hardware up with a lighter, that should free them right up.

I just did this on my jeep yesterday it's a cake job my two bolts came right out I put the new one on and I read somewhere to remove the battery cables for 5 minutes since it was an aftermarket part. I did it just to be safe and now my idle problem was fixed. It's 42$ at Pepboys and 30 on eBay if you want to wait and save a little cash
