Note:This is a relatively new product line. A customer recently sent the product review at the link below. I think you will find it is an accurate depiction with negative & positive aspects. Hope it helps!

By the way, we believe in full transparency and we have identified a couple of design issues with the current inventory which is fully disclosed on our web site within the product description.

While we are looking at tweaking the design in the future, I can assure you will be very satisfied with the current product... especially at the incredibly low sale prices and special free shipping!!!

Let me know if I can be of any assistance!:wavey:

I read on the jeep forum from you that you were going to get rid of the rest of these for $99.00 for a full set because of fitment issues and making room for the new updated versions.

Sorry for any confusion and thanks for bringing it to my attention...

The other post should read $99 for front seat covers (not full).

We've filled a ton of full priced orders in the past few months with very positive feedback but the summer is coming to an end. We need to make room for the next season.

Thanks again for letting me know about the error. I will make the edits as needed. In the mean time, let me know if interested in ordering or any other questions.

I hope you enjoy your new seat covers. Let me know how they look and if I can be of any further assistance!!

TnDz TJ 08-12-2012 06:49 PM

I have to ask..... since they are BLACK..... do you recommend a UV spray for your covers?

I have a competitor brand that I installed first week of may.... I have a bikini top and doorless with 3 coats of UV protectant and the red and black is now Pink and grey.....

What is your standing on fading in the hot desert sun?

Also sent PM but thought others might want to know the answer...
We don't get many requests for single rows on JKs like we do for later models. So I took it off the site but I'm happy to offer the front row to you for the sale price of $99.

I have added the product to our site (link below)

What is your standing on fading in the hot desert sun?

As far as I'm concerned, there is only one (honest) answer to this question. I broke it down for you below:

The sun's harsh UV rays fades everything over enough time but there are many variables.

#1) Type of material - Question: Neoprene is neoprene. Why does some fade faster than others in the same environment?

Answer: Neoprene is the rubber center of the material and is not the part that fades. It is bonded on both sides to a veneer of fabric so you (nor your seats) do not come in contact with the rubber. This fabric has the color that you see and texture that you touch.

The speed in which neoprene seat covers fades depends, in large part, on the type/quality of this fabric used in manufacturing the different brands. At DryForce, we use a high quality nylon material which has been tested to be the best in regard to color fastness. In addition, we treat this fabric to a healthy dose of UV protectant once before it is assembled and again after production.

#2) Exposure to & strength of sunlight - How long, how direct & how close to the sun. While this is fairly obvious, it needs to be stated since it's one of the most influential factors.

#3) Other elements - There are many harsh elements that break down the fabric's "fading guard". Things such as salt, rain, humidity, sweat and even chemicals in the air escalates the decomposition of the fabric and escalates the fading process.

#4) Color pigments - It is an undisputed fact that some colors will fade faster than others. Specifically, red & silver/grey are the worst.

Since fading is such a big part of our business, we kept this in the forefront of our decisions when developing the DryForce product line. For example, you will notice that our seat covers are offered in solid black and the color is only is within the seams (like piping). This has as much purpose and not just for style.

The stitched seams are much less likely to fade than big panels of colored fabric. Also, when they do fade (because everything eventually fades), they are much less noticeable and you are not as likely to feel the need to throw them in the trash.

#5) UV Protectant - The quality, the amount used and the frequency are all more factors. We recommend 303 UV Protectant to be applied at least every six months and as much as every two months depending on your risk factor (variables listed above). The 303 spray can be found at boat supply atores and now carried in most home improvement centers and department stores. It would be best to get the larger quantity and not just a 16oz bottle since you will be more likely to apply frequently and generously. Plus, it works great on many other parts of your Jeep.

Finally, I know it's not fun to pay good money for a product that doesn't last even one season. It's even worse when the vendor won't stand behind their product and start quoting things like "not covered under our warranty" or It's been too long to return".

At DryForce, we stand behind our product and care about our customers. While there may be some exceptions whereby a product is sold "as is" but , even with the clearance items, we will continue to work with you so you will NEVER be stuck with a product you don't like or don't want.

I know this was a lot of information  but I think a great question deserves my best answer. I hope this information helps to understand our position on fading.

Marc,

Thanks for the detailed and lengthy response. I will still try to get something for what lasted me all of 3 months.... maybe if they can give me a partial refund, it will help to get something that won't fade so bad.

BTW.... I used 303 on mine, 3 different times.... guess it's the material quality

I wish I knew this info beforehand. thanks again.
