I'd like to know this as well as I have been searching hi and low, I like the kicker one cause I think it gives better airspace to in theory better speakers, just wish it had a light

You're best bet is buying a cheap one you like and then swap in better speakers

Ok, then movin on along to better speakers.
Recommendations on replacement soundbar speakers?
Best you've seen or heard of?

Well I didn't go with a soundbar, I replaced my front dash speakers and put 6x9 boxes on my rear wheel wells but I used Sony xplod and they sound really good if you have a solid set up..I have an xplid amp too under the backseat which helps but it sounds crystal clear and awesome :)

How hard is an amp to set up? I honestly almost want to buy some audio things (speakers possible amp to power it if needed) and not mess em up but have them installed correctly, I went to the philadelphia international auto show and must have talked to one of the guys at the Pioneer display for 20 minutes and it seemed like a delicate process. Now I saw your picture Dave but how hard was the amp to set up and wire and all that jazz?
Anyone else feel free to chime in for their 2 cents

Not too hard, although mine had a wire running to the back for an amp when I bought it. Just run the wire, to power the amp and then pretty much there's wires running from the amp up front to the head unit from the speakers. I forget the exact setup but if you have someone who has decent wiring knowledge or has done it before youll be fine. Plus there's infinite advice and tips on the internet :D

This is my idea. My plan is to buy two 6x9 speaker boxes and mount them to the roll bar using U-bolts. Run the speaker wires under the roll bar padding to an amp. Maybe mount "dome lights" on the interior of the speaker boxes. Should cost around 20$ for the boxes, 10$ for the u-bolts. Speakers vary. Polks will go for ~$100.

I have one of the 6 speaker ones. Got it on eBay for $150 new. It's decent. Filled it with polyfill and it does the job.

Found some scrap wood and used some screws lift over from building out house, I think the vinyl cost 13$ a yard and we only needed a yard, speakers came with my radio and light was 8$ so total was 21$.
