SoFLA Newbie

Howdy folks. Lurking in Ft. Lauderdale.

The title says SoFla Newbie, but it looks like I may be headed to Anchorage, AK soon (gulp. Culture shock for this FL boy.) Mrs. Ghost2 has gone TDY there (her company opened a new office) and her stay may be extended. So, I'm Wrangler hunting.

Currently own a 2WD Fake Jeep, but gotta go 4WD for Alaska. Gonna drive up.

I've loved the brand ever since I drove a Willys-Jeep which was about a 1962(?) owned by my ex's granddaddy in NC. Then a buddy owned a 1977 CJ7 (Golden Eagle) when we were in the Air Force. 4-wheeling that thing in Texas was a blast.

ANYWAY, now I'm in the market. I'm thinking I'll go with a Sahara Unlimited (which should keep me warm in Alaska, right? :D ) No real reason for the Sahara, other than I like the body colored fenders and top.

Agreed. However, I did find THIS, which looks like an easy retrofit....

Thanks y'all.
