Lease Numbers?

Does anybody know what the current promotional residual value and money factor are for a 2008 Wrangler X 2dr from Chrysler's Financing arm? (24mos and 36mo leases).

I'm shopping for a DetYellow X, 6SP, AC, Soft top. Bare bones Jeep - stickers at $20,215 and invoice is $19,264

I'm hoping to get it below invoice, which I'm hoping might be feasible given current retail market.

Thx in advance

I'll ask my dealer tomorrow when I pick up mine.

I spoke with the dealer and they have 0% APR financing for 36 months - might be a better bet than leasing...

He gave me $295/mo. and total $719 out of pocket for 36 mo - 12k mi/yr lease. Which I think is too high by $2k or so in total...

I feel like the monthly should be $250 or less - we're talking about a base wrangler X with nothing on it except for AC.

Don't do what I did when the 2007's came out and go upside down on a trade and end with an "X" with a 7-year $467 payment!!! GLAD I GOT OUT O F THAT MESS!!:banghead:

Hello All, I'm new to this forum and I joined because my girlfriend wants to lease a 6MT rescue green X s-package with no options except for the dual top. We're totally clueless on what we should expect as far as lease payments. We went to a few local dealers and they said it would be around 320-330 a month with no money down, just taxes, title and acquisition fees. Is this a good price for this car? It seems kinda high to me knowing that for a few extra bucks a month you can get an acura or an infiniti or a lexus, any of which are way more expensive as far as msrp. Are we getting ripped or is 320/month pretty much standard for an X with dual top? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.... Also, anyone from the NY tri-state area suggest any good dealerships? thanks

If you are thinking that a JK is a "car", you will be much better off getting that Acura or Lexus...

okay smart ass, like I said my GIRLFRIEND wants to get an X. And I already have an Acura. If there are any decent people on this forum willing to lend a helping hand I would be very thankful

'Cept for the smiley I was trying to help...

If she is considering either a JK or an Acura or Lexus, she will probably be disappointed with the JK. It is basically a very off-road capable truck as opposed to a car based vehicle. It rides more like a truck than a car. It is very noisy compared to a car. It doesn't have very many comfort features compared to a more car like vehicle.

It does however perform great off-road. Even the most basic X model can go just about anywhere. If she wants a vehicle for fun and exciting off-road use then a JK is just about the perfect vehicle.

Thanks man. I'm usually not so irratable but yesterday wasn't the greatest day for me at work. Then again I never really have a good day (I'm an auditor). She has her mind set on a Wrangler. She wasn't thinking of another car, I just said that cause I see specials for those cars for 350/month with no money down and when I see 330/month for a wrangler that costs $10,000 less it just seems kinda high. When we went on vacation in Mexico we rented one and she fell in love with it. It was the previous gen Wrangler and when we went to see the new ones she wanted to get one right then and there but I told her to do more research to find out what a good deal would be. We're planning on going to some more dealerships this weekend so I just wanted to know if those figures are good enough to jump on or if those are rediculously high.

I *think* i'm gonna shoot for..

$0 down - only fees - probably $500-$700 incl. 1st month's pymt.

$250 / mo. 12k mi.yr 36 mo. lease

I think that might be realistic since they advertise $199/mo. 36 mo lease, 12k mi/yr and about $999 total money down.

let's see how it goes this weekend.
