UCF Deep-Cover Skid Plate System
Our Deep-Cover Skid Plate System is the only custom configurable skid plate system on the market. It provides the flexibility of design to allow for the wheeler with a modest budget to protect the most vulnerable of locations on the vehicle. It will also provide the options desired by the most hard-core of rock crawlers to purchase the strongest, thickest undercarriage protection available on the market.
We offer Deep-Cover protection for Jeep Wranglers from 1987-2006. These model years can be broken into 3 distinct eras.
The YJ skids are intended for 1987-1995 model Wranglers.
The EARLY TJ skids are designed for 1997-2002 model Wrangler TJs.
The LATE TJ skids are made for 2003-2006 model Wrangler TJs and LJs.
Our Transfer Case Skid Plates have been very popular in the Jeeping community for a while now. They are widely regarded as the best value on the market.
UCF offers transfer case skid is both carbon steel and 6061-T651 aluminum hard plate. Steel skids can be ordered either 3/16" or 1/4" thick. Aluminum skids can be ordered 1/4" thick. The 3/16" steel skid is equivalent in strength to the 1/4" aluminum skid. The 1/4" steel skid is the strongest skid currently offered.
The base model system is configured by default with a 3/16" thick steel (60 lbs) transfer case skid plate. It can be upgraded to 1/4" thick steel (77 lbs) for $50 extra, or 1/4" thick aluminum (27 lbs) for $120 over the base model.
The transfer case skids can also be offered in several depths. They are defines as follows:
No Body-Lift Required- YJ & Late TJ are 3" deep, Early TJ is 2" deep.
Original Extra-Clearance- YJ & Late TJ are 2" deep.
Ultra High-Clearance- All models are 1" deep.
Certian depths necessitate other requisite components such as: Body Lifts, Motor Mount Lifts, LOPRO Transmission Mounts, SYE, aftermarket driveshafts and rear upper control arms, etc.

Another Key component of the system is the Engine Skid Plate. It serves as the only line of defense for the engine oil pan and transmission pan. This area of the powertrain is extremely vulnerable to damage from big sharp rocks, pointy limbs and other obstacles encountered along the trail. Our Engine Skids are offered in two flavors.
The default option is for the 1/4" thick steel Engine Skid. It weighs in at 38 lbs with hardware. The upgrade Engine Skid is crafted from 1/4" 6061-T6 aluminum plate. It weighs only 16 lbs. with hardware and adds only $75 to the default option price.
We offer Engine Skids for the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder Jeep YJ and the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder EARLY TJ ('97-'02). We also offer Engine Skids for the 4.0 liter '97-'06 model 6 cylinder Jeep TJ and Jeep LJ (Unlimited). Other models are under development but are not currently available.

The LOPRO mount is a complete replacement for the factory transmission mount. It attaches to the transfer case skid and factory adapter bracket. Our LOPRO Mount is 1" shorter that the part it replaces. Because of this, the transmission and transfer case are lowered into the skid plate by about 1". This can go far toward reducing driveline vibration. The LOPRO mount is shipped with a rubber bushing.
The UCF LOPRO Mount was designed to fit the '97-'02 Jeep TJ 4.0l with manual and automatic transmissions. It also works with '03-'06 Jeep TJ and LJ with a manual 5-speed or 6-speed transmission. It will not work with other model years, engines or transmission models.
It can be used in conjunction with our 1" deep Ultra High-Clearance Transfer Case Skid and a 1.25" Body Lift to obtain the flattest belly on the market. (The 1997-2002 Wrangler TJs don't require the use of the LOPRO mount when installing the 1" deep Ultra-High Clearance Skid.)
It can also be utilized in conjunction with our other deeper transfer case skids. It negates the requirement for a body lift when used with our 2" deep Extra-Clearance Skid on the late model TJ.

We recommend the installation of a body-lift with most of our Transfer Case Skid Plates. The addition of a motor mount lift is the perfect companion upgrade. It reduces driveline angle and allows you to skip an step in the installation of the body lift, relocation of the fan shroud.
One of the greatest features of our Deep-Cover Skid Plate System is the flexibility it allows. Many people that purchase our skids plates have already installed body-lifts and motor-mount lifts. We won't require you to remove the parts you already own so you can buy more of the same.
The last option for this product consists of four choices. They are as follows:

You can add an adapter bracket that will allow you to mount a stock Rubicon Locker Pump assembly to the top of the skid plate. This bracket is formed from 1/8" steel into the shape of a hat. The flat middle surface mounts to the top of the skid with hardware and mounting holes you must supply and drill. The factory pump assembly can then bolt to the remaining holes in the factory bracket to locate it up and out of the way.
We recommend relocating your locker pumps under the hood to the tray near the brake booster. This will ensure that they are safely out of the way for future transmission/transfer case maintainence and service related issues.

UCF DIY Transfer Case Skid
The UCF DIY Transfer Case Skid for Jeep Wrangler is intended for use with non-stock powertrain configurations. This is the same skid plate body we've offered for years... just without the internal crossmember or mounting holes for the transmission mount. The omission of the transmission mounting surface and holes will let you design and build your own custom mount for you engine or transmission swap.
If you have a factory powertrain in your Jeep you should be looking at the skid thats intended for your specific application.

Aluminum Front Bumper for Jeep Wrangler TJ & LJ
The Aluminum Front Bumper for Jeep Wrangler TJ & LJ is laser cut from 3/16" 6061-T6 aluminum plate and formed on a CNC press brake with large radius tooling. This forming process adds tremendous strength to the design. The seams are TIG welded inside and out. The outer surface welds are then ground smooth to produce a seamless look.
This bumper is just over 46" wide to the tips. It is shipped without hardware and bare of any finishes. It can be used without any paint or other surface treatment.
Weighing in at just 9lbs this bumper can save some serious weight off the front of your Jeep.
The bumper will not ship with the winch plate or winch hoop pictured above, but they can be added for an additional charge by choosing from the drop-down menu.
The aluminum front bumper weighs 9lbs.
The aluminum winch plate weighs 8lbs.
The steel winch plate weighs 23lbs.

Aluminum Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier for Jeep YJ & TJ
This new TJ rear bumper and tire carrier is fabricated from a combination of 6061-T6 aluminum and carbon steel to produce a very strong and light weight product that weighs about 50lbs less than the traditional rear bumper and tire carrier. The total weight of this product is about 78lbs.
The bumper sub-structure and lower frame tie-in plates are fabricated from 3/16" carbon steel plate with a 1/4" thick receiver tube. The d-ring mounts are 3/4" steel plate. This weldment is fully MIG welded.
The bumper body is made from 3/16" 6061-T6 aluminum. It is formed with large radius tooling to maintain the integrity of the material. The body is then TIG welded on the inside and the outside. The outer welds are then sanded smooth for a seamless look.
Our tire carrier hinge spindle is machined to accept 1 3/8" Timken trailer bearings. The hub is sealed to the elements with a grease seal on the bottom and an o-ringed aluminum cap at the top. The swing-arm is fabricaed from 1 3/4" x .120" wall DOM tube. The wheel mounting plate and backspacing-adjustment slide are bent from 3/16" steel that is fully gusset and welded to the swing-arm. This provides the ajustment necessary for almost any wheel, stock or aftermarket. The wheel plate is pre-cut for both 5x4.5" and 5x5" lug patterns. Studs will be installed at the stock YJ & TJ 5x4.5" pattern. The tire carrier will hold up to 37" tall tires.
A feature that is unique to the UCF tire carrier is the latching method. The swing-arm is permanently attached to the tailgate bracket with an adjustable linkage that allows them to open together. Opening the tailgate is now a very easy one-handed operation. The tailgate bracket has a tab on the top that can be used to mount a CB antenna.
*This product currently requires a 1" body lift. We may re-release a revised model in the future that will work with or without a body lift.

Jeep TJ 6061-T6 Aluminum Gas Tank Skid Plate
The UCF Aluminum Gas Tank Skid for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 2004-2006 LJ Unlimited models is laser cut from 3/16" thick 6061-T6 aluminum hard plate (upgradable to 1/4" 6061-T6 for $100 extra). It's fully TIG welded along outside perimeter. At 20lbs it's the lightest Jeep TJ gas tank skid available. We have included 5 water/mud drain holes along with the requisite dimple for the fuel pickup assembly.
This skid is offered in both "Body-Lift" and "No Body-Lift" versions so you can tuck the gas tank up out of the way. The "No Body-Lift" version increases ground clearance by 1/2" while the "Body-Lift" version increases ground clearance by 1 1/2". Call for more details!

UCF LOPRO ('03-'06 TJ) Trans. Mount
The UCF LOPRO Transmission Mount was designed to allow you to cheat.
For years people assumed you needed drop-down spacers for the stock transfer case skid so you can install a 3" suspension lift on a TJ - Not with the LOPRO mount!
also thought you needed a body lift to install a TT skid on a TJ or LJ - Not with the LOPRO mount!
There are many ways to take advantage of the clearance afforded by the LOPRO mount. Some probably haven't yet been considered.
The new mount is a direct replacement for the factory transmission mount on the '03-'06 model TJ and LJ. It is almost 1" shorter than the factory piece. This lowers the transfer case down into the skid plate by the same amount. That 1" of extra clearance can go far toward reducing metal-on-metal vibration and avoiding body lifts. Some increase in felt drivetrain vibration should be expected with this transmission mount.
The LOPRO mount uses a combination of 2 rubber bushings to isolate the transmission from the skid plate. The first is a 3/16" sheet of soft rubber that separates the 2 halves of the mount. This pad provides tension so that the power-train can transfer energy to the secondary round bushing that's located on the outer edge of the mount when under load in forward gears. This secondary bushing is what really holds the mount together and what provides all the vibration isolation when in reverse.
Some modifications to the factory bracket that connects the transmission mount to the transmission will be necessary. You will be required to shorten a flange with a sawzall or angle grinder. The LOPRO mount will be shipped unassembled and unpainted. You will need to paint all the bare steel parts and install the rubber bushing.
The LOPRO mount will not be directly compatible with the UCF High-Clearance Transfer Case Skid Plate if used with the 42RLE automatic transmission. The transmission pan would interfere with the bent front edge of the skid plate. The front edge of the skid plate could be modified to allow the parts to be used together.

UCF Jeep TJ/LJ High-Clearance Body Mounts
aThe UCF High-Clearance Body Mounts for Jeep TJ/LJ have been a long time coming. They are laser cut from 3/16 steel plate and formed on a CNC brake, then fully mig welded and sanded smooth. Unlike some other body mounts on the market, you won't have to do the assembly of the mount pieces yourself. These body mounts completely replace the six factory mounts visible below the doors. These HD high clearance mounts present the opporotunity to remove body lift spacers (if present) to tuck the mounts up even higher out of the way. They are compatible with Jeeps that have no body lift or up to a 2" body lift. Another benefit of the design of these mounts is that you can weld all the way around the mount without removing the body. The top edge of the mount can be welded from the clearance hole in the lower surface. The edges of the mounts are bent at an angle to allow you to slide over obstacles instead of getting caught on them as with the factory design. We are also offering the option to purchase the middle pair of body mounts alone to save on install time and cost. These are obviously the most vulnerable mounts as they're centered between the tires as well as being the lowest mount on the frame. You can make this selection above. You will be required to cut and weld to complete the installation.
