airspeed247 09-02-2012 07:16 PM

BAP 09-02-2012 09:22 PM

ive always wanted to do the hood paint like yours but the po left a nice windshield crease in mine.....i hate looking at it while driving-,ill fix that one day when the more important things get taken care of..

95YamJam 09-03-2012 06:21 AM

Looks great! Nice choices on what you've done.

AKohler883 09-03-2012 07:50 AM

Wheels and tires made the biggest difference.
The 2.5" lift was springs and shocks ?
Easy to install ?
I need to do that.
I have 30" tires on now and they rub. Looks much better than the stock 215 tires though ! :-)

markharmon 09-03-2012 07:54 AM

Really wish iPhone displayed pictures. Guess I'll have fire up laptop.

markharmon 09-03-2012 08:04 AM

You did 2.5" lift. Was it a spring lift? How about rims? Do they have any offset? Any issues with tires rubbing leaf springs in a sharp turn? I'm starting a similer build, but starting a lot further back. Have a lot of rust repair. I talked to 4wd and they suggest 2.5" lift with 235`s and a slight offset sheet.

Here's a 1" lift with 235/75 tires:

2.5" lift would open up room for 31" tires.

yes the lift is springs and shocks. the 33's are a little big i figure that they will rub wile offroading but i'm going to add 1in lift shackles later on. I'm not sure on the off set on the wheels but at full lock they do rub the leaf spring. I would really like to have some 32x11.50's but I already had the 33's from a old project. Saved me about 1000 bucks for now.

oh it wasn't really hard to put the lift on. i did mine in my driveway with hand tools and a grinder with a cut off wheel and a lot of pb blaster. it took a day and a half.

AKohler883 09-03-2012 04:50 PM

Absolutely do not need a lift with 235's.
My 30" would be fine with decent stock shocks

yeah that's what i had on there before 30x9.50's

Brian W.V. 09-03-2012 05:20 PM

This weekend i fixed some rust on the fenders, and put some bed liner on them
