Buying '13 Sahara Unlimited. Upgrading Tires!

Hello, im a total newbie here. I'll get the car in a few days. I'll upgrade the tires to around 30 inch ones. Any suggestions? i have little to no knowledge on tires or rims. Should I replace the rims as well?

The first rule for a newbie is to call it a Jeep vs. a "car"!!

Secondly, the stock tire is about 32". Why do you want to go 30"?

Tire/rim selection is based on usage, personal preference and how much money you want to throw at it.

The Sahara has 18" wheels. The Sahara has tires that measure 31" from the ground up. If you want to go bigger, 30 inchers ain't gonna' get it done. :) Most people go up to something like 265/70-18s which will measure about 32" from the ground up. Beyond that you have to start changing other things too.
