You should check out the muddy buddys jeep club, they are based out of the Dayton area. Here is their website: Muddy Buddys Jeep Wrangler Club

I'm not a member, but I've been on a couple of their rides as a guest. Good group of people. They have one or 2 places near Oxford where they do trail rides.

One word of caution - I understand that you're just looking to do some "mild" trail riding - but you should really never go off-roading on your own. Best to have at least 1 or 2 other vehicles with you in case you 1) get stuck 2) get lost 3) some breaks and you get stranded, etc etc. You may still be in cell phone range, but if you're off the public roads, 911 may not be able to help or find you. So - give some thought to joining an off-road club, or at least tagging along for an organized ride.

klwest i am close to oxford ohio and the place is sheldons located on big maple farms. Not a place to be by yourself and even more when you dont know the trails. but if you contact me on a weekend day i go up alot and would be more than willing to go trailin with another fellow jeeper. let me know.

i live in middletown, and would like to go on any weekend. would also like to check out the hummer plant if you could let me know where the trail head is

klong21 01-08-2013 09:51 PM

Well go down 123 and pass Franklin park where its on your left and that road on your right go there and there will be a trail opening on your right. I have never heard of anyone getting in trouble there at the hummer plant. But I go with people who know the owner personally.

Hey guys, I'm in oxford and looking to get out and ride. You guys want to all get together? If someone knows these places I'm in. I can't find any place to go myself.

Davidicus1 03-14-2013 10:41 AM

In Fairfield myself and would love to join up and do a little riding.
someone that know of these places should put something together this spring. I know a guy down here that would love to be included.

Just a thought, any takers?

klwest66 03-15-2013 09:03 PM

do i need to get permission from the owners to wheel there?

klwest66 03-15-2013 09:06 PM

There is a place in Oxford called big maple farms. They have great trails. They have a Facebook page if you all want to check them out.

I know the place your talking about. That's my question, I want to know if anyone can wheel there without getting in trouble?

I know this thread is a little old, but I saw you are from Waynesville: is there any place to take my jeep off-road over by Ceasar's Creek? I live in Springboro and got my first jeep. ...it's a 2014 and my DD, so not looking for anything serious or that would scratch it up, just the chance to take it off the paved roads. Thanks, Mike

Hello, first time jeep owner. My wife and I just moved to Oxford, OH last year for grad school. We purchased our first wrangler a month ago and I really have the itch to hit some trails. Anyone interested in meeting up and planning something?
