KC lights condensation
I got 2 KC daylighters mounted on the front of my JK hanging from my brush guard, and last week I noticed (after a foggy drive up a mountain) that a significant amount of moisture had accumulated in the lens. The Lights still work fine, but I just wanted to know
a) if that is covered by the warranty, and
b) how to fix them w/o breaking any sort of seal within the light.
In addition, just how waterproof are the wires? I have mine semi-exposed when the doors are off, and I just want to make sure that I'm not at risk of shorting them when I hose out the interior. I try to avoid them, but sometimes they still get sprayed a bit.
Thanks for your help!
I see you have probably been waiting a while for a reply. I just looked searched that because one of mine was doing that also.
What i did was turn the lights on and let them sit for a little bit. Mine are slimlight long ranges and i had then of for about 5mins. And its all gone.
For the connections i have no clue. When i installed them i took off those connectors and soldered it. Then wrapped all exposed in heat shrink.
