Ace rockers shipping

I went to order Ace Rockers today, they wanted $112 shipping. I bailed out pretty quick when I saw that. Is there anybody that carries these in the Sacramento area?

If not, is there somewhere else I can order them for less shipping?

MudRunner 09-10-2012 04:45 PM

I'm not sire if northridge4x4 has the rock rails, but I know they carry ace products and free shipping :thumb:

SouthTJ 09-10-2012 05:00 PM

Wow, that is kinda high. I think I only paid about 30 when I ordered mine from them.

JeepXX 09-10-2012 05:03 PM

rock rails

well I was just going to pull the trigger and order some but wow thats a real punch in the stomach. it may be cheaper for me being based in MI but......I havent checked either.

Jtoast 09-10-2012 05:18 PM

It was $83 shipping to me in Oklahoma. I said to hell with it and bought them because I wanted them. I got a few quotes from a couple of vendors who post on this site but they were all within about $20 of what Ace quoted me delivered so I just bit the bullet and ordered them from Ace.

That sounds about right for shipping cost for JKU 4 door sliders to Cali. You might be able to save $20-30 shopping around, but that is probably it. Shipping on the JK 2 door sliders is much cheaper. About $35-40 to ship to me in Texas.

It's a wash. I priced the rear bumper with tire carrier with NR4x4 and Ace w/shipping. The price was almost identical. And that's with Northridge's free shipping. I live close to Northridge's shop, I need to ask if there is a pickup discount.

Unfortunately that's pretty close. I had the same shock a couple months ago when I was looking into them. Apparently all orders are drop shipped directly from ACE. Northridge DOES offer free shipping, but their price is also quite a bit higher than many other places so I think they are rolling some of that shipping into the price. I guess it's the price we pay for living on the West Coast and having something heavy shipped from Michigan.

meneedjeep 09-10-2012 06:33 PM

Maybe we should see if we can get a group purchase going in the Sacramento/Davis area, and ask for a discount. ? any takers ?

Hit up Jason@krawl off-road. He was able to crush ACE direct pricing. I have ordered all my ACE from him. Worth your efforts, just saying. :thumb:

well, they sell for $85 more for the JKU version on ACE's site, so I think they are building in their shipping costs. Cheaper than $112, though.

Rooster76 09-10-2012 07:46 PM

I would shoot an email to all the authorized dealers and ask what there best price delivered is. Also I would ask if they are in stock. They tend to get back-ordered.
Authorized Dealers

Ordered mine barely an hour ago after shopping around for weeks. Get them from Jason with Krawl Off-Road. Look on the vendor page here on the forum and PM him. He'll hook you up with the best price around and shipping half that. Good luck!

Pompie 09-11-2012 01:14 AM

The rails are pretty heavy and long - UPS charges dimensional shipping weights - so I'm sure Ace isn't marking up the shipping that much.

That being said, I ordered mine from Northridge4x4 and they were $379 including shipping for my '12 JKU, That was about $40-$50 less than ACE and I've had good luck with Northridge before.

Took ACE about a week to get them shipped - arriving tomorrow and I hope to get them on tomorrow night!

mcgee10 09-11-2012 04:25 AM

ACE charged me $37.00 to ship my rails still not good they are about 90 miles from me. But when I went to order a bumper from them they wanted $140.00 now that's crazy. I went with a Warn bumper and free shipping shipped from a lot farther away go figure. I know most of there shipping cost is up to UPS so you can ask them to ship them by truck to a business it's much cheaper that way. Just ask them.

strider_mt2k 09-11-2012 05:07 AM

That's what it costs.
It's a Jeep.
Ace rails Rock.
Time to nut up.

The difference is most likely 2 door vs. 4 door version of the rails.

Jason was one of the ones I got a quote from. His rails + shipping price was only $15 cheaper than going direct from Ace. Decided that for $15 I would skip the middleman.

meneedjeep 09-11-2012 05:07 PM

Ace on order with Jason.

kthrash 09-11-2012 05:13 PM

I ordered mine from Aftermarket Jeep Parts & Jeep Wrangler Parts - Free Shipping with free shipping $295.00

My ACE 4dr rock sliders shipped to south Texas was $120...
I ordered a front bumper from Nates 4x4 for my TJ... shipping is free from Michigan. I'm still wondering how Nate 4x4 is able to send out those bumpers for free.

meneedjeep 09-12-2012 11:17 PM

Mine were $381 shipped. Kinda sucks being in California for this stuff.

$325 shipped is a great deal - about $50 less than I spent. Damn - Oh well, glad to send Northridge the business - good company.

That's where I got mine, too. Even though their price had gone up to $325, the free shipping sealed the deal for me. Now the rails are sitting in my garage, just waiting for the JKUR to arrive!

Metonymy 10-05-2012 01:03 PM

I wanted to buy from Northridge (they're local and quoted me quite a bit lower than Jason @ KOR), but they haven't had them in stock for a while and are only open M-F. I work M-F and would have to go get them on the weekend and their store isn't open. LAME.

Looks like XtremeTerrain will be getting some business from me.
