I need help what is a good long lasting mt tire?

Hey fellow jeep ppl i need help with what tires are good mt tires that are long lasting and great in the mud? take as many options as u can throw at me. ( ps i have stock rims and ive been looking at micke thompson baja mtz <--- really like those)

LilYeller 09-11-2012 06:37 PM

The MTZ are my favorite tires so far, they go anywhere I point them, even through sugar sand without airing down. I should have aired them down but I didnt and they did fine. Add to that their relatively low road noise and agressive look, cant beat them for a good all around tire IMO.

around how many miles u getting out of them?

and btw thanks for the post help!

LilYeller 09-11-2012 06:47 PM

This is my first set of the MTZ and they have only seen around 15k still have tons of meat on them, just keep them rotated every oil change and they will wear evenly.

I have the km2 and love em .there a little noisy on the highway .but i dont mind .on my old truck i had the bfg ko's and got like 50k out of them .still had tread left but there were dry rotting .its the only reason i replaced them

mig33157 09-11-2012 07:03 PM

can u give me the full name of the km2? and have u put them thru the mud how do they run?

kfdjason7620 09-11-2012 07:09 PM

Its bfg km2, search em up, I put the 33x10.5 on mine in July, the only thing I can say about em is that they have GREAT off-road traction and I love the way they sound on the blacktop. I got em for $211 a piece shipped on eBay! I was a little hesitant but they arrived in absolutely perfect condition. As long as you hit the right pressure and don't put off the rotations they will last a long time

Look up BFG Mud Terrains....you can't help but find the KM2.

I have a set of them also, and took them out wheeling for the first time this weekend and was really impressed in mud, rocks, and loose sandy gravel on reallllly steep inclines.

mig33157 09-11-2012 07:16 PM

thanks they look meaty too bout how many miles u got on em?

I have about 500 miles on mine and it still hasn't worn off the rubber tits and molding marks on the tread.

My tires make some noise out on the road (what 37 isn't going to??) but it's not obnoxious, I love it. It's a great reminder of what you have installed every time you get behind the wheel. The radio can easily drown out the sound if desired. :)
