Unplug the switch.

Push the button in that sets off the buzzer and put a clothes pin on it from the inside to hold it in. Do it on drivers and passenger side.

We used tape in high school so the dome light wouldnt come on as we snuck around town to each others houses. What do y'all whipersnappers remember bout dome lights without a switch? Aw, now I feel old...

I just unplugged the switch right from behind the little button thingy

WOW, mine does do that... Guess the PO already took care of this for me.
I dont have a chime or warning for lights being on either? Is that something that I can make happen???

unplug

There are 2 wires that plug onto the back of the door switch. One is for the dome light and one is for the key alarm. Just unplug the one for the key alarm. They are just push on terminals and you can just pull them off.

Unplug the whole buzzer unit right from the fuse panel under the dash - Save it for future use.

BONUS: You can use a standard spade connector in the vacated spots in the fuse panel (on the positive side) for other accessories. One of those spots is 'key in' activated which I'm now using for my CB so its got power when the key is in and no power when I pull the key out. Saved me from running yet another wire from the battery through the firewall. :thumb:
