AEV lift kit

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm also a new wrangler owner. I have recently bought a aev 2.5" lift kit and am looking to instal it with a couple friends of mine.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience installing this kit or any kit on a 2012 JK? Will I need a coil compressor and what would the difficulty be?
Thanks!

I was looking at this kit, interested to see how you like it.

Did you buy an adjustable trackbar for the front?

just lower the axle. No spring compressor required. It is not that difficult to install just read the directions and take your time. :thumb:

Didnt get an adjustable track bar for the front. I had a budget and it went to a the lift kit and some rims and 35s. Thanks for the info!

Would have had the budget (or come in the kit) for a trackbar if you didn't buy AEV. Oh well enjoy.

I recently installed the 2.5 inch kit on my 2009 JKU. I did it solo and it took quite a long time over a couple of days. I have very little mechanical knowledge. I just read the instructions over and over along with a couple calls to the shop where I bought the kit and a posting or two on this forum. No coil compressor was necessary. Several folks have commented that the geometry brackets are recommended. I installed those too. Ride is great. Feel free to PM me with questions and I will try to help.
