Any clubs in south jersey

Hello,
I'm new to the jeep thing and trying to find a club in the south jersey area to get involved with. Mainly looking for a group to hit the trails with and show me around. Any info would be great.

Freddybeans 10-02-2012 06:12 PM

Nothing? Not even some groups of people.

ryanJKunlimited2012 10-02-2012 09:23 PM

There is the South Jersey Jeep club. Don't know much about them.

There is the Jersey Crew, they are on another forum.

I think there is also Grass Roots Jeep Club.

What are you looking for? If something casual and you have a thick skin, I would suggest Jersey Crew. No dues, no officers, no politics, plenty of people to wheel and wrench with.

Freddybeans 10-02-2012 09:26 PM

Yea I'm really just looking for some people to wheel with. Just some other jeepers in the area to do jeep things with. Lol.

Freddybeans 10-02-2012 09:27 PM

Do you know what forum they are on.

Gamble 10-04-2012 01:20 PM

What part of NJ are you from?

Freddybeans 10-04-2012 01:45 PM

Cape may county. The dirty south

Freddy I'm in Deptford area. You must be stationed at cape may in the coast guard?

ryanJKunlimited2012 10-04-2012 03:19 PM

Freddy, your PM box is full

Freddybeans 10-04-2012 03:59 PM

Clearing it out now

Freddybeans 10-04-2012 04:04 PM

I'm not in the coast guard. When I got out of active army I got lucky and got a job working full time for the national guard. Doesn't seem like a lot of jeep people are this far down.

tmihalic 10-09-2012 08:56 AM

I'm also from South Jersey, Washington Township, Gloucester County. I'm also looking for people to wheel with any information would be greatly appreciated!

Freddybeans 10-09-2012 10:03 AM

Jersey crew. The guys above are both members and I meet a hand full of them last sat. They were all very cool. Other then they all have jk's and everyone knows tj's are better.

JukkaBeeze 10-09-2012 06:40 PM

I'm over in Williamstown, Gloucester Country

dennis461 10-09-2012 08:30 PM

Most all the clubs will be here...

October 28
Atsion, NJ
Kind of a long drive, but if you can make it, there will be 200+ jeeps there.

I would love to be there but I am getting a cortisone shot in my hip the day before. Wonder if I can wheel all day after that? Hmm..

I am thinking the same thing, maybe it will work out and I'll make it up for a couple hours. Need to get the right passenger, in the case that I have to do anything "strenuous". Doctor may not appreciate those sorts of activities.... not to mention the bumpy roads. haha

ryanJKunlimited2012 10-11-2012 08:30 AM

The day before the cleanup there is a charity run going on in the Pines.

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f93/hel...es-179113.html

Problem right now is that there are more prizes than rigs. And the prizes are sweet, two different winches will go home in someone's rig, plus a ton of other great gear.

Check it out, and register by Friday to ensure we have the right size tshirts. You also save $10 by registering by Friday.

Freddybeans 10-11-2012 10:38 AM

More prizes then rigs. That sounds like a win for me!

Will you be able to register the day of the event?

I am not sure if I will be able to make it, so I am not sure I want to register ahead of time.

Freddybeans 10-11-2012 04:14 PM

You need to contact dancing Dan on jkowners. He is the person that started that thread Ryan linked.

Freddybeans 10-11-2012 04:16 PM

I take that back you need to follow the first link and then follow the 2nd link.

You can show the day of the event, but the price moves to $60 and we can't guarentee that we'll have the right sized tshirt. We are ordering extra t's just for this reason.

I will be working on my CJ next few days starting tomorrow afternoon. Down in Erma across from Murphy Fence, can see me from the road. If anyone want's to stop by and have a beer. Might need a brake bleeder and will only use my Mom as a last resort.
