A fellow jeeper on JF (lowranger) is putting together a run up to Lake Pillsburry and over Hull Mt. for December 1st. He's not on WF, so I'm putting the word out here. This could be a snow run if the weather cooperates. For those not on JF, I'll post the latest info as the date approaches and add your names to his list. Stay tuned for further details as they develop.
The first snowfall of the season in the Sierra Nevada an inch or so of snow was reported Friday on high peaks around Lake Tahoe, while several inches of snow fell around Mammoth Mountain.
It surely was a fun trail! A couple of pucker factor moments I must admit! Gene, you'll have your work cut out for you negotiating 13+ jeeps thru this adventure. I'll play tailgunner on this one buddy! No one left behind! That includes me guys! Don't leave me behind, lol!
Yes, stock rigs should be fine. I'll know more once we scout the route next month. Lowranger doesn't do any hardcore wheeling, so I think he'll keep it stock friendly. We may have some snow however, so a good all terrain or mud terrain tire would be a good idea.
