Different Size Spacers In Front From Back

Ok so here is what i am thinking. my new front bumper has added quite a bit of weight to the front of my jeep. so what i want to do is put 2 inch coil spacers in the front and 1 inch in the back. i have a 2.5L so i guess its lighter. i just want to see how it would look before i go for a more sufficient lift kit. im probably going to get them off ebay. SOoooooo please tell me what you think. sorry if this is a dumb question but im 18 and this is my first car im kind of a noob. im a fast learner and im pretty sure i can do it myself but can someone please give me a write up. THANK YOU

Instead of doing both just put a 1'' in the front. and its not a "car".

Its not uncommon for people to run different size spacers from the front to the back, just get the spacers you need to level your jeep out.

but i also want a cheapish lift just to see if i actually want to go for the lift kit.

and, my bad, its no car its a JEEP

not for a body lift but keep in mind that if you don't raise the entire body the same amout you will need different size spacers as you go down the length of the jeep for it not to stress it..example..you could use fender washers to raise the front an inch..you might need say 6 washers under the front mount, then 4 under the next mount,2 under the next and none under the rear..my point is you need to taper your mount sizes as you go back

I think he's talking about a BB coil spacer lift.

With only a 1-2 inch lift I don't think you would need new shocks as long as you don't over flex the wheels. I think you might need new bump stops.

thank you, i decided to just go with the TeraFlex Jeep TJ 2" Budget Boost kit just because it would be cheaper than buying the separate pieces. and i will get shocks eventually.

this is what im working with (plus a xrc smittybilt stinger = HEAVY)

I am thinking of doing the same. New coil springs 3" in the front & 2" in rear.

what else?

Did you need to do anything besides bump stop extensions? Vibrations? Is your jeep level? Is it a 4 cyl?

Adjustable track bars front and rear, longer sway bar links, MML (originally needed 5/8" worth of washers to lower the transfer case).

4.0, sits level :thumb:
