First-time Jeep Owner, long time admirer.

Hey everyone, just checking in and etc as I am new to the forum. I already have a mental image of what I'm going to turn my JK into, but if there are any particular brands/products to stay away from, please feel free to post it here.

Thanks again and hope to see everyone on the forums!

stay away from KN filters and intake systems (gain marginal, power with risk of gunking up sensors and throttle body due to lack of filtration)

smittybilt products are questionable (bad powder coat is known problem ....my own personal opinion and some proof is availible with a quick search)

oh and rough country shocks are rough

some tips if you are new to forum usage in general ---
search search search and THEN post ......before starting a new topic i like to search google, search the forum and then post if i still dont have the answer (its good forum edicate because it saves bandwidth and reduces website clutter) and it will prevent you from getting flamed for asking a question like "why do i need a SYE?" or "what size tire can i fit with no lift?" (both are VERY easily found with a forum search or google search)

welcome to the forum !!!!

Thanks for the info. I have been a gear head for a long time and know all about KNN filters. Yeah I know what you mean about search and search before posting. The reason I joined this forum was because most of the info I got during my research came up here. So I figured, why not join in on the fun! Thanks for the tips on the suspension... Will have to find what I want in terms of ride. Short wheel base and stiff shocks make for a bumpy haul across the state.
