RB1: Differences in Model Numbers

RB1: Differences in Model Numbers

Does anyone know the difference between model numbers? For example what makes a model ending in AI so much different than an AE, besides the fact that it is newer? If I just use the newest Nav CD will everything be the same?

idk what a nav CD is so im gonna assume this is a JK question and should be in the JK section no the TJ

is your jeep newer than a 2007?

No this would be for a 2006 Unlimited.

The RB1 is the Navigation Radio and it takes a Navtec CD/DVD to run the actual navigation piece. The JK uses the MyGig. I'm not sure if it uses the data disk or not.

I was just wondering what the differences between model numbers of the RB1 for TJs would give me. Is there a difference in firmware items like Time display or ability to use Sirius or iPod integration...etc.

I remember when a radio was a radio and only received AM! All this technology will never last.:crash:
