Cargo Rack

I'm going to be using the Wrangler for our family vacation this year (going to the Jersey Shore - it should be a blast to drive it around there!). My problem, of course, would be storage of luggage. The passenger seats are all taken and I will have the soft top down. I searched the forum and the best info I could find was from a website someone recommended. Here is what I am thinking of getting -

Everthere Ura-Lite 2" Receiver Hitch Rack

Anybody have any experience with this? I have a JK with a 33" spare and I currently have a bike rike installed in the trailer hitch. I'll take the bike rack off and use this. It'll work, right?

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help, gang!

I use one of those on the back of my jeep from time to time, they work just fine. Costco has this one that a friend uses with the storage bag. It keeps everything nice and clean.

Thanks, Unlimited. No problem with the spare tire getting in the way?

i did the same thing on my trip from houston to vegas a week ago. my dad bought the rack from walmart tho, i think he paid 80 bucks for it. it looks a little less heavy duty then the one above but it held up more then fine, we even hit the trials with it on, luggage and all
i have a 33 on the spare and the tire didnt block the rack. the rack sits a good ways back.

my advice is just find a cheaper one from wallymart.

I considered the rack you're talking about, they are very nice and lite, but....you can't open the tailgate. In my situation the Dogs need to get in and out so that rack wouldn't work for me. If you need storage, check out the roof racks, there are several to choose from now and the prices have come down quite a bit since I bought mine 4 yrs ago...just keep in mind shipping, mine was Truck Freighted. Here's a pick I posted resently about the painted flares, so...here it is again for the Rack...
