05 sport riding rough

I bought an 05 tj sport a few months ago from a dealer....when i get off the highway, sitting at a red light, my jeep seems to be "riding a little rough" (starts shaking, making some noise)...i was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if anyone knows what it could be

Tons of things can cause this pal. The trick is to start doing the cheap repairs first!

Run your tank down to pretty close to empty. Put some fuel injector cleaner in and fill her back up. I use the Lucas brand - do not know if that is the best or not. Regardless I am certain they all will have instructions on the amount of cleaner to fuel.

Next cheapest may be new plugs. Pull your spark plugs and see how they look. If they look good this cost you nothing...other then a beverage or two when you are doing it.

After that you are into the "spending money" range. New wires for you possibly new plugs. I beleive 05 you have coils on each wire. That may cost a little.

Heck - could have been a bad tank of gas?

Try this and let us know.

I would also like to add to this list. I recommend buying a can of electrical sensor/contact cleaner and cleaning your IAC & TBS. There should be some diagrams floating around on here if you don't know where they are located (on the throttle body) otherwise Im sure a google search could help you too.
