So new and clueless its ridiculous

Ok, so I am so new to Jeeps and anything mechanical, it is ridiculous. I work in an office all day and all my life. Growing up, when I asked my dad how to do something, he would always say "look someone up in the yellow pages." sorry younger generations, we did not always have the internet!!
I am starting fresh, want to learn about my '03 Jeep. Looking for a book or where to start to begin from the beginning. I obviously can't go and work in a shop, but want to learn how it works and how to keep it running.
Any books that helped or did you just fix problems as the showed up.

I think that just being a part of this forum and browsing around as mush as most of us do will fill your brain with great amounts of Jeep knowledge and ideas.

+1 and it just so happens that the Maryland Jeep Club (MJC) is a great group of guys and gals. If you live in the right place, they have monthly meetings and do a lot of wheeling at RC. Annapolis, Fredrick, and Westminster usually have the best turnouts. I attend the Westminster meets every second Tuesday. It's nice to talk with fellow Jeepers while eating good food and drinking good beer.

If you are new to wheeling, they do an official ride where new wheelers are guided through the trails and learn the basics.

This forum, jeep book from your local parts store Haynes/Chilton book, you can download or buy a year specific jeep repair book, you can get a build sheet on your jeep using your vin at jeepslimited.com. Lots of info out there on the net. Find a local club if there is one and you can learn a lot.
