Dana 300?

I was out messing with the jeep today and it seems like the t-case only has high and low Is that the case? And only 4wd when you lock the front hubs in

It has 2hi, 4hi, neutral and 4L.

You can put it in 4hi and leave the hubs unlocked to get a 2hi effect.

CJ D300 shift pattern for single stick:

4L
N
2H
4H

That's what it shows but 2h and 4h are the same. If I move it forward 1 notch it's in neutral and 1 more its low.

Can you also leave the hubs unlocked and have 2L?

I always put it in 1st and let off the clutch a hair while shifting my Dana 300. I also twin stocked mine.

Mines an automatic

Does it have a body lift? Is the shift linkage in good working order? Check it good for play.

Also, if it has the original shifter, there is a small plastic piece that connects the bottom of the T-case shifter and the two separate rods that operate the T-case. That plastic piece on mine broke a few years ago and wouldn't allow it to shift correctly. Thats why I decided to twin stick it. Could also explain why you are not feeling the correct hi low ranges compared to your shift pattern. Your shifter may be only connected to one rod.

No body lift. Thanks for the info i'll check the connections. I want to put a twin stick on it. How are the eBay kits?
