Indiana law regarding mirrors

I just took the doors off of my '98 wrangler today, and was wondering what the code was in Indiana. I read on here that some states only require a rear facing mirror aslong as you can see behind clearly for 200 feet. Do i need to reattach the mirrors on the body of the jeep or can i just keep them off? i would personally like to keep them off if its within the law.

thanks!

been pulled over before with my doors off.. NEVER had anything said to me.. heck i took my mirrors off my doors to paint em and ive talked to a cop in his squad car with my mirrors completely off..

my licenses states that i need 1 mirror due to having glasses/contacts and i count my rear view mirror..

fyi im from kokomo.. what part of indiana you from?

Safety requirements
Sec. 1. A motor vehicle that is constructed or loaded so as to obstruct the driver's view to the rear from the driver's position must be equipped with a mirror located so as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway for a distance of at least two hundred (200) feet to the rear of the vehicle.

Here you go mad max. This is cut and pasted from the Indiana State Code. It just says a mirror.

I am a Hoosier too. Glad to see another one around here. I am about 20 minutes from Kokomo and Logansport.

I am in the middle of nowhere. I moved about two months ago. The nearest towns are Burlington and Deer Creek. Actually the closest "town" to me is Wheeling. It only has a few houses. Wheeling sounds cool for jeepers. Unfortunately there is just nothing there.
