Northern California Trail Runs Starter Thread:

Northern California Trail Runs starter thread:

The idea of this thread is to have a “go to” thread people can follow for the latest information on trail runs in Northern California, ideas for trail runs, and any other pertinent information concerning runs for Northern California.

For those who want to start their own thread, simply attach a link to it here and others can follow.
As an example, here is a thread underway right now...

For those who already have other threads going, simply copy a shortcut from your post to here for others to follow.

By doing this, we can keep the photos and back and forth banter contained to your specific threads linked to this thread, and as a result, keep this thread neat and clean making it easier for people to follow the latest information on runs in NorCal. We can’t let the SoCal guys have all the fun, so come on NorCal, get out there!

Was waiting for you to start one on here. Lol great job.

JKTHOMPS 11-14-2012 02:15 PM

What, you don't like the back and forth banter?

Your banter is always the best Jimbo! :D

Just wanted to get something a little more organized that jeeples could easily find. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. Time will tell. :wavey:

Hope it works! Any plans for sneaking out Thanksgiving weekend boys?

Is trail 25 calling you? :whistling:

gene13 11-14-2012 08:09 PM

I could most likely on Sat. the 24th.

yomondo 11-14-2012 08:25 PM

Hey do any of you NorCal guys know the Dusy Ershim trail well enough to lead a run next fall? Or who I can pick your brain for trail knowledge? Yah, it's not really NorCal, more like CenCal, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I did the Rubicon this past summer, and the Dusy's next up on my bucket list. I was looking at going next September, maybe 2nd week. I know it's a long ways away.

Yomondo, I personally have not run Dusy, but would love to someday when my TJ is worthy. Maybe someone will chime in who has, but like you say, it's a bit south for many of us.

It'll depend on whether the gates are open.

Good point! LOL! Well, it could be the weekend before or the weekend after.

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 02:12 PM

Isn't the weekend before a big holiday?

Well Xmas is on Tuesday, so the weekend after would be the 29th-30th, and follow up by New Years day also on a Tuesday.

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 03:30 PM

So what you are saying is we should go 29th-30th and the 5th-6th... sounds good to me :-)

I like your thinking! Since you haven't done any wheel'n with the crew since Hollister, you've got some catch'n up to do mister! :D I think I already forgot what your jeep looks like, lol! I keep picturing a school bus, but maybe I'm thinking of someone else. :whistling: :hide:

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 04:36 PM

HAHAHA Yeah, I posted pictures to remind you and didn't get any compliments so I figured you guys were too jealous or jaws on the floor to say nice cattle guard lol I have been sneaking out with moberg... and with hunting season, my rig is seeing quite a bit of off road, just hit 6K miles lol.

bobthetj03 11-16-2012 04:38 PM

I can't see your pics from work, so I'm sure I'll have something interesting to say when I get a look at them tonight.

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 04:43 PM

They were posted with the ducks haha

Oh yeah, I saw those. I'd pick on you about it, but I think it's the same one Gene has, so I'd have to pick on Gene's too, lol! :hide: Looks good, BTW!:thumb:

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 04:55 PM

OH I see how it is! I have to ask for compliments to get them lol... shoot, if my deductible wasn't so high and deer looked both ways before crossing I would have been on the coast run... I didn't even bother with the insurance since it was below my ded. just glad 4wp had a deal.

bobthetj03 11-16-2012 05:03 PM

LOL! Easy now, Mr sensitive! Don't get a complex on me now! LOL!

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 05:08 PM

Nah, it's all good... I owe you a beer anyways lol. You can hug me and make me feel safer and wanted then hahahaha

bobthetj03 11-16-2012 05:10 PM

:rofl:You slay me Jimbo! LOL! So much for keeping the banter clean on this thread! LOL!

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 06:00 PM

:whistling:oops

bobthetj03 11-16-2012 06:05 PM

Well Jimbo, hope you can make the Hull Mt. run. I'm looking forward to watching you try to get up that mountain on your racing slicks, lol! Don't worry, I won't leave you behind, unless you're in a Bronco, lol!

JKTHOMPS 11-16-2012 06:11 PM

Oh you will be surprised at how fast I can undo my winch and wrap it around your bumper lol... And the only Bronco I would be on has 4 legs ;-)
